Senior Packaging Engineer, R&D

Job Summary
Collaborate with global packaging vendors to develop sterile packages for orthopaedic implants and instruments, ensuring designs function across Stryker's global packaging sites. Manage design control creation through the new product development process, conduct feasibility and design verification testing, and author test protocols to build the design history file. Support regulatory submissions with necessary deliverables and operate within Stryker's quality system to produce engineering change notices and drawings. Work closely with technical SMEs, implant product development, operations, and program management to deliver robust, safe, and effective packaging solutions from inception to launch.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Packaging, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- 2+ years of work experience
- Medical device industry experience
- Packaging design development experience
- Functional knowledge of design controls and industry standards in packaging design (ISO 11607, ASTM, ISTA)
- #IJ Travel Percentage: 10%
- Work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace
- Must work within the country of the job requisition location
- Regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities
- Expectation to travel within a set boundary
