Job Summary
Plan, organize, and coordinate all packaging engineering and labeling activities to support new product development and line extensions. Develop prototype packaging and tooling, manage concept development, and oversee design reviews for manufacturability. Coordinate labeling, new tooling, and equipment while creating test protocols, technical reports, and new product documentation. Assess manufacturing issues, drive cost improvement programs, and lead technical initiatives for compliance and CAPA resolutions. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards. Full-time position in Warwick, Rhode Island, with base salary of $90,000 to $115,000. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Packaging Engineering/Packaging Science, Life Sciences, or other Engineering field
- Minimum of five years in packaging engineering and design
- M.S. degree in Packaging Engineering/Packaging Science, Life Sciences, or other Engineering discipline
- Minimum of four years of relevant experience
- Knowledge and experience with ISO 11607-1 and 11607-2
- Knowledge of FDA requirements for sterile, non-sterile, disposable, and reusable devices
- Ability to conceptualize ideas, motivate and focus individuals and teams, and drive projects to completion on time and on budget
- Broad knowledge of materials used in primary and secondary packaging, packaging methods, and equipment
- Working knowledge of package test methods, process validation, bar coding, and international standards
- Some travel required

- Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industries preferred
