Job Summary
Senior Packaging Account Executive responsible for generating new business and meeting sales goals within the assigned territory for a corrugated packaging manufacturer. Responsibilities include determining product specifications, quotes, and pricing; preparing weekly/monthly activity reports; compiling and analyzing prospective customer information; visiting customers to assess needs and promote products/services; maintaining customer records; answering credit terms, product prices, and availability questions; performing packaging audits and collaborating with the Design Team to deliver value-added solutions; and upholding high ethical standards and safety policies. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing and at least 10 years of sales experience in corrugated packaging/manufacturing, with strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in sales/marketing
- Minimum of 10 years sales experience (corrugated packaging/manufacturing industry preferred)
- Must live in, or within a reasonable distance of the geographical sales territory assigned
- Strong communication, interpersonal, listening and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly build rapport with customers and suppliers
- Highly motivated and results-orientated individual who can work well both independently and within a team environment
- Demonstrates an aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers with a consultative and personalized sales approach
- Commitment to excellent customer service and knowledge of industry standards
- Effectively manages time working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
