Job Summary
Senior Outward Reinsurance Technician responsible for the administration, processing and oversight of outward reinsurance programmes across Apollo syndicates and Platform Partner Syndicates. Collaborates with Underwriting, Finance, Claims, Actuarial teams, Brokers and external reinsurance partners to ensure accurate contract administration, timely reporting and effective management of ceded reinsurance activities. Responsibilities include administration and processing of outward reinsurance contracts for proportional and non-proportional treaties, maintenance of reinsurance records in XL Pro and related systems, processing premium/claims/settlement transactions, Lloyd's Outwards Reinsurance reporting and regulatory submissions, month-end net close, debt monitoring, and supporting legacy/run-off arrangements. Requires experience with XL Pro, LORS, and strong knowledge of reinsurance accounting, data quality and stakeholder management. Hybrid & flexible working model in London, United Kingdom.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience working within a London Market ceded reinsurance function
- Strong knowledge of outward reinsurance operations and administration, including proportional and non-proportional treaty reinsurance
- Proven experience using XL Pro and the Lloyd's Outwards Reinsurance Scheme (LORS) for reinsurance administration, contract management, and settlement activities
- Experience preparing or supporting Lloyd's Outwards Reinsurance reporting and associated regulatory submissions
- Strong understanding of reinsurance accounting, premium processing, claims administration, cashflow management, and aged debt monitoring
- Experience working collaboratively with underwriting, finance, claims, actuarial teams, brokers, and reinsurers
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills across internal and external stakeholders
