Job Summary
Senior Outside Sales Representative (Security) drives new business and manages assigned customer relationships through face-to-face selling, account planning, and collaboration with management to achieve sales revenue and margin goals. Responsibilities include qualifying accounts, executing territory and account plans, advancing billing-margin initiatives, prospecting leads, understanding customer needs, delivering product demonstrations and proposals, maintaining post-sale satisfaction, expanding product knowledge through training, and mentoring the sales team. The role requires travel to client sites and occasional overnight trips, a valid driver’s license, and strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. The position includes commission opportunities in addition to base salary.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree - Marketing, Sales, Business, Engineering or related field preferred
- 3-5 years outside sales experience required
- 4 years industry experience preferred
- Ability to travel to current and potential clients and suppliers
- Ability to work flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques (Preferred)
- Ability to travel 50% - 75%
Desired Qualifications
