Senior Outside Plant (OSP) Engineer

Job Summary
Execute fiber OSP projects by validating designs, managing budgets and schedules, and overseeing infrastructure for capacity and constructability. Lead technical aspects of outside plant facilities including cable sizing, counts, and records while ensuring timely project progression. Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, vendors, and external entities to coordinate permitting, ROW management, and utility joint trenches. Provide mentorship to internal staff and vendors, enforce quality standards, and support sales, marketing, and operations. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to work on-call evenings and weekends, and travel up to 2 miles in the field.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience, or a minimum of five (5) years of OSP Engineering experience or an outside plant position
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in telecommunications outside plant project management and/or fiber design, including inventory management
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in ROW, private easement and permitting with local, state, and federal entities
- Demonstrate knowledge of outside plant design, cable count layout and capacities
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record
- Complete a pre-employment drug screening
- Currently authorized to work in the US for any employer
- Maintain physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, standing, or walking for prolonged periods of time, including walking up to 2 miles when in the field performing duties
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Frequently use hands and repetitive motions to drive stakes into ground using a hammer

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of outside plant activity and engineering tools to include Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS(QGIS/ArcGIS), IQGEO, etc

- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with Engineering team, regional managers, vendors, local supervisors, and technicians
- Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of activity and meet critical deadlines
- Ability to drive on behalf of the company in a safe and responsible manner
