Job Summary
Plan Orthoptics services for Tengah General and Community Hospital, including space, design, workflow, and manpower considerations. Collaborate with clinical, allied health, operational, and administrative stakeholders to implement treatment plans for referred patients using specialized knowledge. Coordinate patient care with physicians and professionals through case conferences and interdisciplinary referrals. Mentor junior orthoptists, conduct training sessions, and document clinical assessments in electronic medical records. Network strategically with healthcare practitioners within NUHS while complying with clinical standards and assisting with administrative duties as tasked.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Orthoptics or equivalent Or Master of Orthoptics
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
- Communicate and interrelate effectively in diverse contexts
- Ability to recognise, assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions
- Adaptability and ability to multi-task and manage time well
- Effective problem solving, planning and organising skills including awareness of resource management
