Job Summary
Senior Oracle DBA responsible for reliability, performance, and security of enterprise Oracle database platforms. Lead day-to-day operations, ensure availability and performance across production environments, install/upgrade/patch databases with automation-first approaches, implement backup/recovery and high-availability strategies, and collaborate with application and cloud teams to optimize performance and support migrations. Maintain documentation and runbooks, monitor health and capacity with standard tools, identify risks proactively, and contribute to continuous improvement. Availability for 24x7x365 production incidents or key events. Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including OCI and Exadata Cloud Service, and Linux systems; strong scripting/automation experience to reduce manual effort. Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of professional experience administering Oracle databases in enterprise, production environments
- Hands-on experience administering Oracle databases in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including Oracle Database on OCI and Oracle Exadata Cloud Service
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database operations, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high-availability architectures
- Familiarity with OCI core services as they relate to databases, including compute, storage, networking, and identity and access management
- Hands-on experience with Linux systems and database automation or scripting to reduce manual effort and improve reliability
