Job Summary
Lead the design and delivery of highly visible transportation projects as a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer at Toole Design in Raleigh. Mentor junior staff, lead client meetings, and drive multidisciplinary teams through concept-to-construction phases for multimodal capacity expansions and safety-focused improvements. Collaborate with clients and interdisciplinary teams, apply innovative intersection treatments, support North Carolina business development, and contribute to a culture focused on ethics, empathy, and equity. Possess strong NC professional network, experience with DOT/municipal clients, and the ability to obtain or hold a P.E. license in North Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- North Carolina Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within six months
- 10+ years of complex transportation project management experience
- Proven leadership of multi-discipline infrastructure design and construction teams
- Strong networks and relationships in the North Carolina transportation market, including existing clients with the DOT, municipalities, and other consulting firms
