Job Summary
Senior Optical DC Engineer responsible for the design, deployment, and operation of large-scale global Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) network fabric. Focused on high-speed fiber optic links and transceivers for leaf-spine RDMA cluster networks at L0/L1 physical layers and L2 protocol levels, with troubleshooting and automation/programming capabilities to support millions of optical links across a global, cloud-based network. The role involves hands-on design and operational tasks across diverse fiber types (patch cords, shuffle, bulk, trunk), ensuring reliable, scalable, and high-performance interconnects within the OCI data center and backbone topology.
Required Qualifications
- Senior-level expertise in RDMA cluster networking
- Experience with high-speed optical networks and transceivers
- Strong focus on design, deployment, and operations for large-scale cloud infrastructure
- Knowledge of leaf-spine network architectures and CLOS topologies
- Hands-on troubleshooting and automation/scripting skills
- Familiarity with physical layer concepts (L0/L1) and network protocols (L2) in data center environments
- Experience supporting OCI or similar cloud platforms (preferably OCI)
- Ability to work in a global, distributed environment
- Proven track record in network design and scalability
