Job Summary
This role oversees dispatch teams coordinating shipments according to customer instructions (SOPs), ensures DOT regulatory compliance and internal policies, and provides solutions to transportation issues. Responsibilities include optimizing service levels for all shipments, promptly addressing dispatch errors, acting as escalation point for branch teams, resolving cross-team conflicts, developing/vendor relationships, evaluating and selecting optimal services and vendors, managing vendor escalation and internal communications, ensuring balanced workloads, implementing new processes and onboarding new business into the Dispatch Team, and monitoring performance against KPIs and SLAs. Requires 10+ years in logistics/customer service, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong English communication skills. Familiarity with ocean export/import, port/CY requirements, and trucking carrier deliveries is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- 10+ years of experience in Logistics and customer service environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Good understanding of ocean export/import operations and transload operations
- Essential - Experience in trucking carrier deliveries/recovery process and terminal port/CY requirements
- Maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
