Job Summary
Senior IT operations specialist responsible for 24x7 monitoring and management of HKEX enterprise systems within System & Network Operations. Responsibilities include proactive system monitoring with tools such as TrueSight and SolarWinds, troubleshooting performance bottlenecks, and coordinating with development teams for issue resolution; ensure smooth operation of business-critical applications, perform batch processing, deployments, updates and patches in coordination with DevOps; incident management using ITSM tools like ServiceNow; implement automation using Dollar Universe, CA7, and Ansible for configuration, deployment, and health checks; maintain documentation and generate reports on system performance and incidents; collaborate with development, DevOps and infrastructure teams to provide technical support. Requirements include proficiency with Linux/Windows/zOS, experience with application servers (Apache, Tomcat, IIS) and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2), knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell, REXX), familiarity with monitoring/logging tools, understanding of DevOps practices, and strong communication and problem-solving abilities. The role is based in Hong Kong with a 40-hour workweek in a 24x7 shift schedule. HKEX is an equal opportunity employer.
