Job Summary
As a Senior Operations Reliability Engineer specializing in Network Operations, you will maintain the reliability and performance of enterprise network services. This includes incident detection, troubleshooting, and remediation across multiple infrastructure domains. Key responsibilities involve monitoring observability tools, incident triage, validating remediation workflows, reducing alert noise, and collaborating with various teams to enhance operational processes. Required skills include proficiency in LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, VPN, cloud connectivity, and the desire to develop skills in automation and AIOps.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in network operations or network engineering roles
- Strong understanding of network technologies including routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and basic connectivity principles
- Advanced experience with routing protocol troubleshooting (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- Experience with Cisco ISE and 802.1x authentication
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst 9K, and Wireless (9800)
- Experience managing ASA/Firepower policies
- Packet capture and control-plane troubleshooting expertise
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (SolarWinds, Meraki/Cisco dashboards, Zscaler, SD-WAN controllers)
- Solid understanding of incident management, event correlation, and operational troubleshooting methodologies
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams and working within cross-functional operational environments
- Ability to interpret network telemetry and logs to identify symptoms, underlying issues, and potential root causes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain findings to both technical and non-technical teams
