Job Summary
Senior Operations Manager leads a team of ~7 managers across multiple shifts to drive day-to-day operational efficiency, safety, quality, and cost reduction within an East Coast Nordstrom fulfillment center. Responsibilities include recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and training leaders; adhering to and improving processes and procedures; meeting warehouse financial standards and monitoring expenditures with variance analyses; driving KPI metrics and utilizing 4DX and facility performance scorecards; partnering with on-site and virtual support teams to test, pilot, and implement solutions; and fostering leadership development, engagement, and equity across the network.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of warehouse experience in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of warehousing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Experience leading and developing managers and a leadership team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to recruit, onboard, and train leaders
- Ability to manage budgets and monitor expenditures; perform variance analysis and corrective actions
- Experience driving safety, quality, and performance metrics across multiple shifts
- Proven track record of driving operational efficiency, cost reduction, and scalable processes
- Ability to analyze data and drive actionable improvements
- Experience with project/program management and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience with performance scorecards (4DX or similar) and KPI-driven management
- Commitment to equity and engagement across a distributed network
