Job Summary
Manage day-to-day operations for Chrysalis Roads Program work crew contracts alongside Caltrans, serving as the primary liaison for customer service and stakeholder relationships. Supervise a team of staff, ensuring safe, accurate, and on-time completion of maintenance work on California State right-of-way while overseeing an 8+ vehicle fleet and equipment inventory. Provide direct mentorship to client workers and supervisors, develop training programs, and enforce HR policies and OSHA/Caltrans compliance standards. Coordinate multiple project schedules, manage invoices and timecards, and proactively identify service issues before they escalate. Requires 24/7 on-call availability with typical Monday–Friday, 6am–3pm hours, and a personal vehicle for all shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years in program delivery and/or customer service experience
- Must be able to relate to and work well with teammates, customers and Chrysalis' client population
- Demonstrated knowledge of best and compliant employment practices
- Willingness to be on call 24/7 and work flexible hours depending on business needs
- Ability to work simultaneously on multiple (often unrelated) projects
- Computer literacy required
- Must be proficient in Internet research, Microsoft Office programs, G Suite
- Willing to learn other applications as needed
- Access to a personal vehicle for use at work during all work shifts
- Valid Class C California driver's license
- Ability to qualify for Chrysalis' insurance
- Willing to submit to regular and random drug screenings
- Ability to push, pull, lift or throw up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work on feet throughout shift
- Work in or outdoors, standing and walking, for long periods of time (up to full shift) in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) and uneven terrain, including slopes such as those along the side of the highway
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing supervisory staff preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce and HMIS (specifically ServicePoint) a plus
