Job Summary
Senior Operations Manager for GMP & Workplace Services responsible for the strategic direction, governance, and regulatory compliance of GMP and Non-GMP facilities in a critical manufacturing environment. Oversees contamination control, cleaning, and documentation practices to ensure cGMP compliance, and leads the workplace services portfolio (janitorial, pest control, landscaping, events, mail) with a focus on efficiency, audit readiness, and vendor management. Drives SOP changes, CAPAs, deviations, and regulatory inspections (FDA, EMA), ensures data integrity and GDP adherence, and partners with client leadership to sustain facilities operations, financial stewardship, and 24/7 emergency readiness. Responsibilities also include managing budgets, SLAs/KPIs, and cross-functional leadership to deliver high-quality service across the campus in Oceanside, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related technical field preferred; or an Associate degree with equivalent, extensive leadership experience in a highly regulated cGMP environment
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience within a GMP manufacturing or cleaning environment
- minimum of 5 years of experience in a tiered people-management role (managing supervisors or managers)
- Expert understanding of GMP cleaning programs
- familiarity with GMP, FDA CGMP regulations
- Strategic familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and enterprise data tools
- experience with supplier contract management, budget oversight, talent development, and organizational design
- strong executive communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- bilingual capabilities are an asset
- experience in regulated environments (pharmaceutical facilities, life sciences, medical device, hospital) preferred
