Job Summary
Senior Operations Manager at Bloom Energy responsible for end-to-end operation, maintenance, and service execution of Bloom Energy’s Solid Oxide Fuel Cell installations at customer sites. Leads site operations, safety, and compliance, coordinates between Remote Monitoring, Engineering, Field Service, and Fulfillment teams, and drives uptime, efficiency, SLA adherence, and service performance. Manages on-site troubleshooting, preventive/corrective/predictive maintenance, customer communications, contractor safety, and on-site reporting. Monitors KPIs such as power output and fuel usage, analyzes performance deviations, conducts root-cause analysis, and ensures audit readiness. Requires strong leadership of matrixed teams, vendor management, and experience with fuel cells, CHP, microgrids, or distributed energy systems. Proficient with engineering drawings, system performance data, and SCADA systems and committed to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 10–15 years in plant operations, power generation, or industrial O&M with strict SLA requirements
- Strong understanding of electromechanical, thermal, and control systems
- Experience in site operations, vendor management, and customer interaction
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and system performance data
- Demonstrated experience leading managers and influencing global, matrixed teams across regions and functions
- PreferredExperience with fuel cells, CHP, microgrids, or distributed energy systems
- Exposure to solid-oxide or high-temperature electrochemical systems
- Safety certifications (NEBOSH/HSE) or electrical operations certifications
- Familiarity with SCADA systems
