Senior Operations Engineer (1 year contract position)

Job Summary
Lead complex deviation investigations and corrective actions to ensure timely closure while monitoring process parameters and trends for quality and business continuity. Design and deliver process improvement projects to increase yield, reduce variability, and raise efficiency across manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and technical teams. Support validation, trials, and technical transfer activities to enable smooth production start-ups and prepare clear technical documents and work instructions for operations. Build strong working relationships with cross-functional partners to meet production goals and solve problems using data-driven decision-making. This on-site role at our Singapore facility requires shift work and occasional extended hours to support production needs, with minimal hybrid flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, biotechnology, chemical engineering, life sciences or a related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in regulated manufacturing such as pharmaceutical, biotech or chemical production
- Practical experience in deviation investigation, root cause analysis and CAPA management
- Strong troubleshooting skills for process and equipment issues
- Working knowledge of current good manufacturing practices and quality systems
- This role is on-site at our Singapore facility
- The role may require shift work and occasional extended hours to support production or project needs
- Minimal hybrid or remote flexibility applies
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with validation, commissioning or technical transfer activities
- Familiarity with SAP, manufacturing execution systems or electronic batch records
- Training or certification in continuous improvement methods such as Lean or Six Sigma
- Project management experience or formal project management training
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and delivering to timelines
- Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills
