Job Summary
Senior Operational Excellence Engineer focused on Lean Six Sigma-driven manufacturing improvements. Lead cross-functional teams to diagnose root causes, run value stream mapping and Kaizen events, and develop integrated future-state processes. Manage Kaizen roadmaps, collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain to drive operational excellence, monitor KPIs, perform cost-benefit analyses, and present actionable recommendations to leadership. Deploy the Medtronic Performance System (MPS), deliver process-excellence plans, and provide training and coaching to build problem-solving capabilities. Travel locally within Colorado (1-2x monthly to Louisville; quarterly to Parker) while working onsite in Boulder, CO, to advance improvements aligned with business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 4 years relevant hands-on experience or advanced degree plus a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Preferred: Advanced lean six sigma knowledge (Green/Black belt).
- Strong change management, coaching, and mentoring competency.
