Job Summary
Senior Operating Partner - People Strategy at SumUp, acting as the strategic right hand to the Tribe Lead to shape organisational priorities and execute key people initiatives. Own the tribe's people strategy, translate business objectives into workforce and talent plans, and drive cross-functional programmes across hiring, organisational design, leadership development, engagement and performance. Establish the operating cadence for the leadership team, monitor pipeline health with Talent Acquisition, support workforce planning with Finance, and adapt people programmes to scale a fast-moving incubation business. Influence senior leaders on organisational health, performance, succession planning and leadership effectiveness, using data and AI-powered tools to improve decision-making and scale people operations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Chief of Staff, Operating Partner, or Senior HR Business Partner in a fast-growing technology company.
- HR expertise with the ability to think beyond HR and apply people strategy to broader business challenges.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional programmes and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong organisational design, workforce planning and talent management experience.
- Commercially minded, analytical, and comfortable using data to shape decisions and challenge thinking.
- Comfortable in an office-first, London-based environment and collaborating with global teams.
