Job Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize critical mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems in commercial facilities. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment including water chillers, pumps, motors, and air handlers. Diagnose and resolve issues using industry best practices while documenting all activities through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Monitor building performance to identify opportunities for energy efficiency and cost reduction. Collaborate with team members and contractors to coordinate maintenance and respond to service requests. Maintain a safe work environment ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. Requires valid state driver's license, 2+ years of facilities experience, and proficiency with CMMS software.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state driver's license maintained throughout employment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building engineering or facilities maintenance
- Expertise in Commercial HVAC systems
- Expertise in Plumbing
- Expertise in Electrical equipment repair
- Expertise in General building maintenance
- Experience working with commercial HVAC equipment, including pumps, motors, air handlers, and building automation/controls systems
- Ability to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, web-based applications, tablets, laptops, and smartphones
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across diverse teams
Desired Qualifications
- Universal EPA 608 Certification
- Experience using CMMS software for maintenance planning and work order management
- Knowledge of MEP and HVAC system design and operating principles
- Experience with energy management systems and building automation technologies
- Experience working in commercial, institutional, or industrial facilities
- A track record of implementing energy efficiency or sustainability initiatives
