Job Summary
Design and evolve enterprise-grade ontologies and knowledge graphs focused on privacy and compliance, translating business and regulatory requirements into actionable semantic models. Define validation rules aligned with audit standards, architect ingestion patterns, and write optimized SPARQL queries. Implement reasoning, inference, and performance tuning within graph databases while managing the full ontology lifecycle including versioning and change control. Ensure semantic models are consumable by dashboards, APIs, and audit exports through cross-functional partnerships with product, engineering, and data teams. This high-visibility engagement directly influences regulatory intelligence and enterprise data strategy within a stable, well-funded technology environment.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of total IT experience
- 8+ years of business consulting experience
- 10+ years designing and evolving enterprise ontologies or knowledge graphs
- Strong hands-on expertise in RDF
- Strong hands-on expertise in OWL
- Strong hands-on expertise in SHACL
- Advanced SPARQL query writing and optimization
- Hands-on experience with Stardog (preferred) or GraphDB / Blazegraph / Neptune
- Experience managing ontology versioning, lifecycle governance, and change control
- Proven ability to align semantic models with regulatory and audit requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- 100% Remote (U.S.-based candidates only)
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to Machine Learning / AI / Gen AI tools
- Experience with Cognos Data Integration
- Background in privacy, compliance, or regulated environments
