Job Summary
Design fixed and floating offshore structures, including jackets, topsides, and FPSO modules, while performing in-service, pre-service, and accidental analyses. Lead new structure designs and modifications, ensuring compliance with international codes such as API RP 2A and DNVGL-RP-C203. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for technical reviews and interface management across ADNOC, ARAMCO, and QP/QG projects. Utilize SACS and USFOS for structural analysis, with proficiency in FEA tools like ANSYS and ABAQUS. Report directly to the Head of the Department in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with a starting date of ASAP.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BE/B.Tech) in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Offshore Structural Engineering
- Proven experience in offshore structural design
- Strong technical competence
- Problem-solving ability
- Capability to assume lead roles when required
- Design experience in Fixed Offshore Structures including Jackets, Topsides, Driven & Drilled & Grouted Piles
- Experience with Floating Structures, including FPSO modules
- Design exposure to Offshore Bridges, Flare Structures, and associated steel structures
- In-service analyses: In-place, Fatigue, Pushover
- Pre-service analyses: Load-out, Transportation, Transportation Fatigue, Lift, Launching, Upending, On-bottom Stability
- Accidental analyses: Boat Impact, Seismic, Blast
- Secondary Structures Design
- Structural joints and secondary beams
- Pipe and equipment support
- Monorails and Access platforms
- Offshore Structure Buildings
- Lifting padeyes and trunnions
- Wind vortex shedding checks
- J-tubes and riser clamps
- Strong working knowledge of international offshore design codes and standards, including: API RP 2A, API RP 2EQ, ISO 19902, DNVGL-RP-C203, AISC
- Proficient in offshore structural analysis software such as SACS and USFOS
- Familiarity with ADNOC, ARAMCO, and QP/QG specifications
- Experience in coordination with vendors and subcontractors, including technical review and interface management
- English + proficiency level (Basic, Professional, Fluent)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree (ME/M.Tech) with specialization in Structural Engineering
- Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, ABAQUS)
