Senior Officer - Strategy

Job Summary
Contribute to the development, coordination, and implementation of strategic initiatives supporting the FIAU's institutional priorities and long-term objectives. Coordinate and administer strategic projects and workstreams, including monitoring the Strategic Plan's implementation, facilitating stakeholder consultation, and following through action plans from initiation to completion. Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders through meetings, structured documentation, and periodic reporting on initiative status. Monitor and report on delivery, outcomes, and effectiveness using performance indicators and control frameworks. Keep abreast of AML/CFT legislative, institutional, and regulatory developments at local, EU, and international levels. Provide support for evaluations, assessments, and information requests from the EU, Egmont Group, MONEYVAL, and FATF. Participate in conferences, seminars, and internal committees on AML/CFT matters. This role is within the Strategy, Policy and Quality Assurance Section in Birkirkara, Malta.
Required Qualifications
- MQF level 6 qualification together with 4 years' work experience in a similar role
- MQF level 5 qualification together with 5 years' work experience in a similar role
- Highly organised
- strong reasoning and analytical skills
- strong ability to analyse, challenge and add value
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- good presentation and report writing skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- lead assigned tasks with minimum or no supervision
- track record of competence, efficiency, and diligence in a relevant post
