Job Summary
Coordinates various aspects of project delivery and leads the administration of construction projects including planning, design, budget maintenance, scheduling, labor compliance and completing close-out activities. Schedule, document and track project planning and engineering activities with Project Managers, contractors, field staff and other stakeholders. Reads, interprets and Evaluates architectural and engineering plans, provides contracting strategies, reviews RFCs, COPs and CDs for QA/QC, prepares cost estimates, negotiates change orders, monitors payments, performs site walks, analyzes critical path and recovery schedules, conducts constructability reviews to ensure compliance with DSA/building codes, maintains project files, and leads progress meetings. Also assists in project close-out activities and acquisition of technical documents and manuals, and supports contract data collection through resolution of changes and claims. Strong emphasis on coordination with project managers, contractors and field staff, and ensuring delivery within approved timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Eight (8) years full time paid professional experience in project or construction management of commercial and/or public or educational facility construction projects
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) is preferred
- LEED/CHPS experience is preferred
- Knowledge of Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design process
