Job Summary
Conduct evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions, including functional capacity and sensory modulation, for adults experiencing acute mental health concerns in home environments. Deliver activity- and participation-focused treatment approaches to promote engagement in meaningful occupations and daily living skills. Collaborate with consumers, families, carers, and the multidisciplinary team to support recovery and wellbeing. Contribute to the supervision, education, and training of students, early-career clinicians, and team members. Actively participate in quality improvement, research, and service development initiatives within the WHMH at Home program. This 24/7 service provides intensive, recovery-oriented treatment under the Hospital in the Home model.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
- Minimum of five years' experience in mental health
- demonstrated clinical expertise in occupational therapy assessment and intervention
- Strong understanding of recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care principles
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- ability to engage effectively with consumers, families, carers, and multidisciplinary colleagues
- Commitment to professional development, reflective practice, and service innovation
- satisfactory Police Record Check
- Immunisation Status Clearance
- Working with Children Check (if applicable)
