Job Summary
Assess, plan, and deliver therapy programs for children through individual and group-based sessions. Complete assessments, progress reports, and NDIS/Medicare documentation while providing referrals to families, schools, and other professionals. Mentor junior OTs, students, and Allied Health Assistants by contributing to team development, supervision, and CPD activities. This role offers opportunities to work across the Morphett Vale clinic, schools, and home settings within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting children with medical and developmental needs.
Required Qualifications
- Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Eligible for Medicare Provider numbers
- DHS Working with Children Check and relevant criminal history clearances
- RRHAN-EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect) training
- Completion of Safer Environments for Children and Young People training
- Minimum 3 years paediatric OT experience
- Strong knowledge of NDIS and Medicare processes
- Experience working with children with a variety of conditions (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Global Developmental Delay)
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, adaptable, and client-focused approach
- Strong report-writing and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to supervise and mentor colleagues and students
Desired Qualifications
- Up-to-date First Aid certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
