Job Summary
Senior Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Newcastle and Hunter region with a flexible mix of home, community visits and clinic spaces. Manage an allocated caseload, assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional and physical function using clinical observations and standardised assessments, interpret findings to formulate individualized treatment goals, and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve quality of life and meet participants’ goals. Maintain awareness of current legislation for compliance, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes, and mentor graduates and early career clinicians. Required Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA
- Experience as an Occupational Therapist or Senior Occupational Therapist beyond graduation
- Passionate about community-based support for people with disability
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
- Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
- Desire to mentor graduates and early career clinicians
