Job Summary
Senior Occupational Therapist needed to join the Community Occupational Therapy Team in Waltham Forest, London. Role focuses on community-based assessments in service users’ homes, identification of equipment and adaptations to maximise independence, and collaboration with social care and health professionals to reduce waiting times and long-term care reliance. Hybrid working (2 office days, 3 remote) with a supportive team, meaningful work improving residents' independence, and referral bonuses for successful placements.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration
- Minimum 3 years' Occupational Therapy experience
- Experience working within an Adult Social Care or Social Services Occupational Therapy team
- Experience carrying out home-based Occupational Therapy assessments
- Strong knowledge of equipment provision, adaptations, and promoting independence
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a busy caseload effectively
- Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
