Job Summary

Senior Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department overseeing staff performance, staffing, hiring, orientation, and discipline; leads budgets and resources, performance improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice changes to ensure high-quality patient care. Builds a positive, inclusive work environment, mentors staff, and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration with patients, families, and other departments. Responsible for policy/procedure development, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and effective use of technology and critical thinking in patient-care delivery. Requires leadership in nursing practice, strong communication, and ability to mentor and develop clinical teams in a hospital ED setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Nursing
  • RN license
  • BLS CPR certification
  • 2+ years ED nursing experience
  • 1+ year ED nursing manager experience (preferred)
  • Strong leadership and clinical practice knowledge
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to mentor and develop staff
  • Knowledge of HR and financial management competencies
  • Ability to work in a matrix-management environment
  • Education: Bachelor's of Nursing (Required); Master's of Nursing (Preferred)
