Job Summary
Senior Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department overseeing staff performance, staffing, hiring, orientation, and discipline; leads budgets and resources, performance improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice changes to ensure high-quality patient care. Builds a positive, inclusive work environment, mentors staff, and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration with patients, families, and other departments. Responsible for policy/procedure development, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and effective use of technology and critical thinking in patient-care delivery. Requires leadership in nursing practice, strong communication, and ability to mentor and develop clinical teams in a hospital ED setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Nursing
- RN license
- BLS CPR certification
- 2+ years ED nursing experience
- 1+ year ED nursing manager experience (preferred)
- Strong leadership and clinical practice knowledge
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to mentor and develop staff
- Knowledge of HR and financial management competencies
- Ability to work in a matrix-management environment
- Education: Bachelor's of Nursing (Required); Master's of Nursing (Preferred)
