Provide routine treatments and interventions consistent with the educational level and skills learned in the academic environment. Perform advanced skills such as nasogastric tube irrigation, suctioning, wound irrigation, complex dressing changes, and enteral tube feeding maintenance after achieving demonstrated competencies. Conduct continuous visual observation for Baker Act, behavioral health, and suicide risk patients, utilizing the Safe Patient Room Environment Checklist during staff changes. Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, and nutritional needs while maintaining safety and security. Communicate patient condition updates to registered nurses and participate in handoff reports and hourly rounding. Document information according to Orlando Health policies and transport patients to diagnostic testing. Deliver items, equipment, and medications throughout the facility while maintaining a safe environment.
