Job Summary
Senior NPI Engineer at Moog Aircraft Group (Tewkesbury, UK) in a hybrid, full-time role. Lead/support complex engineering assignments across the product development process, guiding conceptual design, cost estimates, detailed design, and development testing for high-pressure hydraulic components and mechanical assemblies. Act as engineering focal point for design and analysis activities, coordinate development tests, author reports, and present technical work to customers. Requires 8+ years aerospace experience, knowledge of airworthiness and EASA Part 21 regulations, and hands-on experience with APQP, validation testing (static, fatigue, vibration, thermal, fluid dynamics), and technical leadership. Skills include CAD (Siemens NX or equivalent), GD&T, Mathcad Prime, numerical analysis software, MS Office, and MS Project. Travel occasionally and ability to delegate tasks while ensuring quality. Degree in engineering is essential. Emphasis on leadership, problem-solving, and ability to work in a mixed design/analysis environment within aerospace programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field
- 8+ years aerospace engineering experience
- working understanding of airworthiness requirements and awareness of EASA Part 21 regulations
- Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities
- Experience with APQP, validation testing (static, fatigue, vibration, thermal, fluid dynamics)
- Ability to design and analyse, lead design and development testing, and present to customers
- Proficiency with CAD software (preferably Siemens NX) and GD&T
- Experience with Mathcad Prime and numerical analysis software
- MS Office and MS Project proficiency
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Strong technical leadership and mentorship capabilities
