Job Summary
Guide the development and implementation of non-destructive inspection techniques using ultrasonic, eddy current, and radiographic methods in an aerospace environment. Interpret codes, standards, and contractual specifications to develop testing documents, processes, and equipment for new or revised methods. Audit supplier systems, analyze statistical data to resolve anomalies, and consult on corrective actions. Conduct certification preparation training and supervise Level I and II personnel while accepting repairs to company products. Requires ASNT Level III certification, ability to work in radiation environments, and standing 90% of the time. Shift 1 available with up to 5% travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Formal, documented hours of NDT training/experience or military equivalent
- Currently hold or previously held (within last 2 years) ASNT Level III NDT certification in Ultrasonic (UT) or Radiography (RT)
- More than 5 years of experience reading, understanding and interpreting engineering technical information (e.g., drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications)
- More than 5 years of experience interpreting/developing policies, practices, processes, and procedures as they apply to technical documentation to ensure quality product delivery
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
- Able and willing to stand 90% of the time, stoop, bend, stretch, and engage in awkward positioning
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs
- This position requires the applicant to work in a radiation environment and involves exposure to radiation
- Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant safety and health regulations, protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working atmosphere for self and others
- Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) applicable to the testing method being used
- This role may be on first, second or third shift
- This position may require up to 5% travel
- Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process

Desired Qualifications
- More than 10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- More than 5 years of experience conducting NDT certification preparation training (developing certification training and examinations) providing necessary guidance and/or supervision to Trainees, Level I and II NDT Certified personnel
- Skills and knowledge to audit NDT facilities for compliance with applicable requirements
- More than 5 years of NDT experience in aerospace composite inspection
