Job Summary
Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js, designing and implementing RESTful APIs for seamless front-end integration. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while implementing security and data protection measures. Manage and mentor junior developers through technical guidance, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to user requests. Design and maintain database schemas for both SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) systems, leveraging complex query capabilities and ORM libraries. Collaborate closely with front-end teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, staying updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Node.js development
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as Express.js
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
- Experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and proficiency in writing complex SQL queries
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) and familiarity with their query languages
- Familiarity with ORM libraries (e.g., Sequelize, Mongoose) for database interaction
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of developers
