Job Summary

Drive revenue growth by strategically selling advanced next-generation sequencing instruments and solutions to research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and industrial sectors. Manage key customer relationships across diverse markets, identifying opportunities to create customized solutions and ensure exceptional client experiences. Execute strategic sales plans for complex capital equipment deals while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support breakthrough discoveries. Travel up to 50% within your assigned territory to maintain strong account management with both direct customers and channel partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screen
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8 years of successful sales experience in scientific instruments or analytical equipment
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within assigned territory
  • Business-level English proficiency
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel independently
  • Experience with public and private sector procurement processes
  • Knowledge of competitor products and market dynamics
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a matrix organization

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Science, Oncology, Chemistry, Biology, or Instrumentation
  • Relevant professional certifications
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong technical understanding of NGS instrumentation and applications
  • Excellent relationship-building and account management skills with both direct customers and channel partners
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (especially Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Outstanding presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and large capital equipment deals
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
