Job Summary
Senior NGL Commercial Analyst to own daily P&L reporting for the NGL commercial portfolio, support the RightAngle (ETRM) implementation, provide customer-level profitability insights, evaluate deal flow economics, and help optimize the value chain across marketing, supply, storage, and terminaling. Role requires strong analytical modeling (Excel, Python, SQL), ability to translate market drivers into actionable insights, and collaboration with Commercial, Accounting, IT, and project stakeholders. Pembina offers a flexible work arrangement with hybrid option and requires legal work eligibility in the position country.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Commerce, or a quantitative discipline; CFA/MBA (completed or in progress) preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in energy trading analytics, market fundamentals, or commercial finance within the energy sector
- Proven experience owning and explaining daily P&L (NGL exposure preferred)
- Strong understanding of cash vs. MTM attribution, accrual/timing impacts, and reconciliation to accounting
- Solid knowledge of the NGL value chain, including physical flows, infrastructure, pricing, and midstream economics
- Advanced analytical capability, including building and maintaining complex dynamic models
- Proficiency in Excel, Python, SQL, or similar tools
- Experience with cloud analytics environments and RightAngle ETRM preferred
- Strong ability to assess and interpret short-term market drivers and translate into actionable insights
- Excellent communication and writing skills for leadership reporting
- Cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Accounting, IT, and project stakeholders
- Contribute to standardized reporting, scalable tools, and continuous improvement across analytics, processes, and data governance
