Job Summary
Design and architect network security solutions using Cisco and Fortinet technologies, providing oversight for the deployment, configuration, and management of routing, optical transport, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems. Lead the implementation of Identity Services with dual factor authentication and conduct thorough network assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective measures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support sales engineering efforts, and articulate complex technical concepts during client presentations. Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure continuous monitoring of security systems while staying informed on emerging threats and product advancements. Requires U.S. citizenship, 10 years of Cisco/Fortinet experience, and in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to lift and rack-mount equipment and climb ladders as required for installation activities
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the design, installation, and configuration of network routing, switching, and security, focusing on large and complex networks
- Proven experience in designing and implementing network security solutions for enterprise-level environments
- Experience with network protocols, routing, and switching technologies including BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF
- Expertise in security technologies such as VPNs, IPSec, SSL/TLS, and advanced threat protection
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Cisco and/or Fortinet: 10 years (Preferred)
- Network Architecture Design: 8 years (Preferred)
- Cybersecurity: 3 years (Preferred)
- Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Duo Security or competitive products with a willingness to learn
- Experience with Fortinet SD-WAN products or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of SONET architecture or a willingness to learn
- Strong knowledge of MPLS applications in regional connectivity
- Knowledge of cloud security and integration with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with compliance standards and best practices such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR
- Familiarity with Passive Optical Networks (GPON, XGS PON, Passive Optical LAN) is a plus
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CISSP or equivalent are highly desirable
