Job Summary
Senior Network & Infrastructure Technician responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls), administering VMware environments (ESXi, vCenter), and managing Microsoft Azure networking and hybrid connectivity. The role involves troubleshooting complex network, virtual, and cloud issues, assisting with upgrades/migrations, and providing VoIP/cloud-based phone system support, with emphasis on security, reliability, and performance; on-site in Westbury, NY, Monday–Friday 8a–4p, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and PTO. Collaboration with internal teams and vendors, plus rigorous documentation of configurations and solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with networking and routing in a production environment
- Proven experience with enterprise firewalls, switches, and routers
- Real-world experience administering VMware environments
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including networking and virtual machines
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and WAN technologies
- Experience troubleshooting complex network and infrastructure issues end-to-end
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with technical teams
- Strong documentation and communication skills
