Job Summary
Senior Network Engineer on a 6-month contract to design, implement and support high-availability networks across core and roadside environments. Responsibilities include providing L2/L3 support, maintaining network availability and security compliance (PCI DSS), monitoring performance, incident/change management within ITIL processes, designing and implementing network solutions, and driving automation and continuous improvement. Role involves travel to sites, after-hours onsite work, and extensive Cisco and Palo Alto firewall experience, plus familiarity with ICS/SCADA networks.
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted driver’s license
- Advanced Cisco expertise (routers, switches, wireless, Nexus)
- Palo Alto firewall experience
- Experience with ICS/SCADA networks (Modbus, PLC, control systems)
- Ability to participate in after-hours onsite work during planned change windows
- Willingness to travel to roadside, motorway and tunnel environments to support upgrades, maintenance and optimisation activities
