Job Summary
Design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructures including LAN, WAN, and VPNs while monitoring traffic, troubleshooting connectivity, and optimizing resources to minimize downtime. Configure Juniper devices such as MX routers, SRX firewalls, and QFX switches; install, test, and integrate enterprise systems. Administer hardware and software upgrades, manage network security measures, and perform detailed engineering to optimize topologies. Create and maintain network documentation, IP schemas, and firewall rules; develop policies, procedures, and training plans for resource administration. Serve as the network team lead, managing daily activities, maintaining on-call schedules, and acting as a conduit for communication between administrators and senior leadership. This role requires a Senior Network Engineer with 7+ years of experience and a minimum Interim Secret clearance with upgrade to Top Secret.
Required Qualifications
- UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP
- MINIMUM INTERIM SECRET CLEARANCE WITH UPGRADE TO TOP SECRET
- 7+ years of Network Engineering experience
- Must obtain a Juniper cert within 6 months of employment
- strong understating of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF
- Experience with firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and support other team members in performing their respective operations
Desired Qualifications
- A degree in the field of computer science or other IT related discipline
- Certifications: Juniper Networks Certified Specialist: Enterprise Routing and Switching (JNCIS-ENT), Juniper Network Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE) OR the Cisco equivalent Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE)
- Juniper Hardware & Software: Proficiency with Juniper routers (MX), switches (EX), and firewalls (SRX)
- Junos OS: Knowledge of Juniper's operating system for network device management
- At least two years' experience supervising small technical teams comprised of at least 6 staff members
- Experience with Juniper network solutions
