Job Summary
Senior Network Engineer supporting ARNG IT services in Falls Church, VA. Responsible for configuring, managing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure (Cisco routers, Layer 3 switches, firewalls; Palo Alto IDS/IPS), ensuring 24x7 operations, applying DISA STIG baselines, and supporting CCRI inspections and ATO sustainment. Develop SOPs, changes, and capacity planning models; lead complex ARNG projects; perform architecture analyses and evaluate new communications technologies. Mentor junior admins, coordinate hardware/software acquisitions, and ensure policy compliance, backups, and network integrity. Requires active Secret clearance, 3 days onsite with up to 2 days telework, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Certification requirements include IAT II baseline and CE certification; travel minimal.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of relevant experience
- Active Secret clearance
- Experience with Cisco routing/switching
- Palo Alto IDS/IPS
- DISA STIG compliance
- Experience with ARNG IT services environment
- ITIL-based ITSM experience
- DoDIN-A(NG) and DoWIN-A(NG) knowledge
- Two certifications including IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE) and CE certification
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work onsite with some telework
- 3 days onsite and up to 2 days telework
