Job Summary
Senior Network Engineer for Federal Government client in Huntsville, AL. Design, implement, and support multi-enclave network infrastructure; perform network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies; troubleshoot complex networking issues; apply extensive knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls and related peripherals to develop new designs and improve network solutions. Must hold Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI; minimum 6+ years of experience; strong Cisco ASR experience; familiarity with BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, GRE; VLANs, STP/MST; Tier 3 support; excellent communications.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience designing, developing, and implementing network solutions
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex LAN and WAN problems
- Extensive experience with Cisco routing platforms, such as Aggregation Services Routers (ASRs)
- Demonstrated knowledge of routing protocols and technologies including BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, GRE
- Demonstrated knowledge of Layer 2 technologies including STP, MST, VLANs
- Experience providing Tier 3 support and issue resolution
- Experience with network design and traffic engineering
- Experience providing senior-level engineering support
- Large enterprise environment experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (preferred)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher (preferred)
- Experience in network engineering within the federal intelligence community (preferred)
