Job Summary
Administer, organize, and direct network systems across all OMC campuses to ensure data, voice, image, and video services meet appropriate levels. Lead evaluation, planning, and development of new telecommunications, WAN, LAN, and wireless technologies while documenting policies and training staff. Set and enforce network policies, manage vendor relationships for maintenance and disaster recovery, and resolve complex technical issues. Requires a Bachelor of Science in computer science or engineering, two years of advanced WAN/LAN management, and proficiency in routing, VLANs, firewalls, and virtual networks.
Required Qualifications
- Two years' demonstrated experience of advanced management of both WANs and LANs
- Comprehensive understanding of OSI model
- Must be able to set and enforce network policies
- Mastery of the MS Office applications suite
- Experience with monitoring and development tools
- Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills
- Verbal and written skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in computer science, engineering, or equivalent
- Experience troubleshooting and performance tuning LAN and WAN
- Three years' experience with complex networks
- Experience in routing, Vlans, 80211, EIGRP, Firewalls
- VPN experience with Cisco ASAs
- Three years' experience in VMWare virtual networks
- Knowledge and experience in advanced telecommunication and network system design and access techniques
- Core competency in standard Linux commands
- Cisco Certified Network Associate certificate
