Senior Network Engineer II

Job Summary
Lead design, configuration, deployment, and optimization of complex campus and data-center network solutions including routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs; serve as SME for Palo Alto firewall technologies; manage F5 load balancers and Cisco IOS/NX-OS-based technologies; design secure network architectures across on-premises and AWS/Azure cloud environments; perform security audits, certificate lifecycle management (SSL/TLS), and implement AAA with TACACS+; provide Tier 3 escalation support, root-cause analysis, and automation of routine tasks using Python/Ansible/Terraform; coordinate with service providers during outages; ensure network performance, QoS, and high availability; drive documentation and standards (BGP/OSPF, DNS, DNSSEC, VPNs, WLCs/APs, SD-WAN) across hybrid networks.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive experience in network engineering
- At least 3 years in a senior role
- Strong Cisco Networking knowledge with expert-level routing and switching
- Experience with PAN-OS and Panorama
- F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM experience
- Cloud networking expertise in AWS and Azure
- Security principles, IPSec VPNs, and remote access solutions
- Automation skills with Python, Ansible, Terraform (preferred)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Preferred: CCNP/CCIE, PCNSE, or cloud networking certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
