Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary
Senior Network Engineer responsible for network operations and delivery for government accounts, with hands-on work on Aruba and Fortinet technologies, Aruba CX/Aruba Central management, and Fortinet security infrastructure. Will work on on-site customer environments at Canberra with a hybrid model (minimum 3 days on-site). Responsibilities include operating within ITIL with incident/change management, project delivery collaboration, mentoring junior engineers, and stakeholder reporting. Must maintain effective communication, participate in after-hours support, and be eligible for NV1 clearance while holding Australian citizenship. Desirable federal-government experience and cloud/networking exposure (Azure, Linux).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations
- Experience with Aruba and Fortinet technologies
- Proficient in Aruba CX platform and Aruba Central (on Prem preferred) management
- Excellent working knowledge of Aruba WiFi, Mobility Master and ClearPass
- Proficient in Fortigate Firewalls, SD-WAN, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer
- Expertise in routing and switching: BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MLAG, STP
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and ServiceNow
- DNS/DHCP/IPAM management experience
- Familiarity or exposure to Azure or cloud networking, Linux
- Previous network operations experience in federal government arena (desirable)
- Previous network design skills (favourably looked upon)
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or Engineering (desirable)
- Aruba and Fortinet industry certifications
- Other relevant vendor certifications
- Australian citizenship
- Base Line security clearance (NV1) eligibility
