Job Summary
Senior Network Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network security infrastructure across Colonial Pipeline Company. Focus on firewall administration and policies using Cisco Firepower, AlgoSec, and Cisco ISE; monitor security systems; ensure compliance with security policies and standards; provide networking support with Layer 2/3 concepts; troubleshoot connectivity and security issues; collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in network security, with a focus on large-scale firewall environments
- Strong proficiency with network security technologies such as Cisco Firepower, Cisco ISE, and AlgoSec (or similar tools)
- Solid understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and security best practices
- Hands-on experience in firewall policy design, network access management, and security monitoring
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10–15% as needed
- Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP Security, Cisco Firepower, or Palo Alto certifications
- Experience with network security automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Cisco Splunk) and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Experience supporting security operations and working in highly regulated environments
- Advanced experience in senior or lead-level network engineering roles
