Job Summary
Design resilient network infrastructure supporting global broadcast and media workflows, producing High and Low Level Designs alongside technical documentation. Lead technical infrastructure projects from design through implementation, while supporting complex routing, switching, and transport network issues including major incident investigations. Develop and maintain network automation solutions using Python, NetBox, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies to improve operational efficiency. Manage carrier connectivity including wavelength services, dark fibre, and managed Ethernet, validating path diversity and optical network link budgets. Design and support network security solutions by administering firewall platforms and implementing segmentation policies. Permanent, London, Hybrid, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience as a Senior Network Engineer, Network Architect, NetOps Engineer or similar
- Strong network architecture and design experience
- Experience designing highly available and resilient network infrastructures
- Strong understanding of routing, switching and IP networking
- Experience with multicast networking technologies
- Experience managing and supporting firewall platforms
- Experience working with carrier and transport services
- Practical experience implementing network automation
- Experience with Python or similar scripting languages
- Cloud networking experience within Azure, AWS or similar environments
- Experience producing technical design documentation and implementation plans
- Experience managing network projects through their full lifecycle
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with NetBox or similar IPAM/DCIM platforms
- Experience using automation tools such as Ansible
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience
- Experience within telecoms, ISP, media or broadcast environments
- Experience with GitOps, CI/CD pipelines and source control workflows
- Experience with some of the following: Networking (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, BGP, OSPF, Multicast Routing, MPLS, EVPN/VXLAN)
- Experience with some of the following: Security (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower)
- Experience with some of the following: Automation & NetOps (Python, NetBox, Ansible, Git, APIs)
- Experience with some of the following: Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with some of the following: Cloud (AWS, Azure, Cloud Networking Services)
- Experience with some of the following: Transport Technologies (Dark Fibre, Wavelength Services, Managed Ethernet, Carrier Interconnects, Optical Transport Networks)
