Senior Network Engineer (Canning Town, East London, UK)

Senior Network Engineer responsible for designing, deploying and optimizing hybrid on-premise and cloud networks (including Azure), managing firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers to ensure high availability, security and performance. Core duties include planning and deploying functional networks (LAN/WAN/WLAN) and cloud solutions, configuring network devices, monitoring performance, and applying patches. The role requires expertise in network protocols, security, virtualization, and system administration; hands-on troubleshooting across on-premise and cloud environments; experience with Kubernetes and Docker for automation and networking; familiarity with Grafana stack, Syslog, and Open Telemetry; on-call rotations and occasional travel to the data centre in Canning Town for onsite work. Strong communication skills and a proactive problem-solver mindset are expected, along with the ability to mentor team members and contribute to security policy implementation and network documentation.
