Job Summary
Senior Network Engineer responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining DoD enterprise and datacenter networks; designs scalable network systems; configures routing and switching (DMVPN, MPLS Segment-Routing); manages Cisco ACI and Nexus platforms; deploys Palo Alto/Cisco Firepower with centralized management (Panorama, FMC); administers Cisco ISE for secure endpoint access and Zero Trust; provisions KG encryptors (e.g., TACLANE); develops automation frameworks using Ansible and Python with REST APIs to support SDA; maintains core services like F5 and Infoblox; identifies performance bottlenecks; drives DevOps adoption and Infrastructure as Code; collects metrics for performance tuning and after-action reporting; collaborates with operations to build automation use-cases and ensure reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret as required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline
- 5–10+ years of practical network engineering experience in mid-to-large scale enterprise or military environments
- Strong programming/scripting ability with Python, Go, or PowerShell
- Hands-on experience with automation and orchestration tools (Ansible, VMware Aria Suite, ServiceNow)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Ansible
- Must meet DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
