Job Summary
Maintain and administer computer networks, including systems software, applications, hardware, and configurations. Perform hands-on installation and maintenance on routers, switches, and cables while monitoring network activity and configuring complex systems. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems, replacing faulty components as needed. Execute disaster recovery operations, data backups, and implement security measures to protect data and hardware. Monitor network performance, manage virus protection, and coordinate user access. Design, configure, and test networking software and hardware. Operate master consoles to monitor system performance and confer with users to solve existing issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in information technology or related field of study with a network engineering focus
- Cisco and Arista skills
- Pre-connect, mac spoofing/identification, switch coverage
- Extensive and current network experience especially in Cisco and Arista with a good knowledge of NAC
- CCIE (Cisco), CCNP (Cisco), JNCIE-ENT (Juniper), Network+ (CompTIA), WCNA (Wireshark)
- Demonstrated experience working in a networking environment
- Experience with network security
- WAN and LAN experience
- Experience in wireless equipment, protocols, standards, and wireless LAN design
